Hi everyone! I recently got a copy of some pictures taken last year the day after the 2008 USA's. The pictures are meaningful to me as they capture a moment in time. Earning my professional status and winning the 2008 USA's Overall was an amazing accomplishment and experience. The 2009 USA's are approaching fast (July 24th and 25th) I can't wait to see who wins this year!

~ Plan your healthy meals for the week and make a grocery list. Once you have your grocery list stick to it. Do not put anything in the shopping cart that is not on your list.
~ Share your healthy grocery list with a friend and use the buddy system. Help keep each other accountable to your purchases.
~ Always eat a meal before shopping. When you shop hungry you are more likely to buy unexpected items.
~ Be mindful of nutrition labels especially on unfamiliar products. Make sure the nutritional content is within the scope of your meal plans.
~ Avoid convenience products like boxed dinners and frozen meals. Many of these products contain additional calories, fats, and carbohydrates in order to keep them preserved. The best meal is cooked from whole foods like lean meats, fruits and vegetables.
~ Avoid buying empty food like cookies, chips and candy. Try replacing them with items like apple chips, natural granola bars, and fruit.
